Oldest registered Internet domain name
I was doing research for my upcoming post on 25th anniversary of .com. During this I discovered that the oldest register Top Level Domain (TLD). And that was not a .com.
NORDU.NET was the oldest registered top level domain name. It was registered on 01-Jan-85. However SYMBOLICS.COM which was the first registered .com got registered on 15-Mar-1985. Though domain name .NET was first register than .com name, .COM has stealing the show. It is more popular that any other extension.
